RE: Checking a gun at the border of Canada?

+1 here. Guess I will not be going into Canada any time soon. That's okay. We don't go into the States much either. We just don't feel comfy travelling in the Lower 48. Can't relax while wondering who has or doesn't have a gun.

RE: Wanted Level Campsites - Ontario Parks.

We have been to at least 10 PP's over the last 4 years and probably never had a level site once LOL....level sites, cement pads and full hookups are for Glamping not camping :)

RE: water damage repair question?

TRUE. I'm a water damage tech and that is what I would do. Call a restoration company and rent an extra large Phoenix or Dri-Eaz dehu from them for 3-4 days. You can also run one or more dehumidifiers inside to help dry it up. If it can't breath, it can't shed the moisture. Rich

RE: winter storage

GREAT deal man. I would store inside too if it was that cheap here. Others say look at a TT dealers lot & they are not covered there. But also realize that the dealer doesn't try to keep any TT for many years either. I found reasonably priced ($170 total) indoor storage for the next 6 months. I also believe indoor winter storage, at least in the area of the country I live in, will probably double the life of it. Leaving it out where the snow & ice continually freeze, thaw, & refreeze all winter long is very detrimental to the life of a TT. Any melted ice will find it's way into the smallest of gaps, cracks in any caulking & when it refreezes, expands as ice does, & can then create leaks that would not normally happen. It's also out of the sun which can be a very good thing for the tires & roof.

RE: 1st Time Towing Need Opinions

Oh yah with that set up make sure all tanks are empty when towing. If I'm only going 2-3 hours I don't even fill my gas tank.

RE: 1st Time Towing Need Opinions

I tow a 21' with a Chevy Astro Van RWD V6 and would no tow anything longer or heavier with this Astro. I have the same brake and WD set up as you.

RE: 1st Time Towing Need Opinions

That's a long TT for the Envoy. Isnt the Envoy front wheel drive? The issue here is not can it pull the TT but what happens in an "emergency situation" on the highway? How far are your trips? What type of roads will you normally tow on?

RE: winter storage

In Ontario Canada we don't do anything. We just winterize the water sources. Drive by the dealers who have a hundred trailers in stock and they're not covered. Drive by many storage lots who also have close to a hundred trailers and you'll only see 1 or 2 covered. 2 years in a row I didnt even disconnect the battery, of course after 7 months it was dead but charged up fine and was good for the next season. Yesterday I decided to disconnect the battery for this winter but I do not remove it and our temps go down to -30C (-22F) So basically no matter what you do, you'll probably be fine. -Ken-

RE: Electric brake intermediate issue that I can't figure out

I had the same issue and it was one of the wires on one of the wheels. not sure of all the details because the dealer had to repair it.

RE: Your tanks in the winter?

I think there was a reading on the fresh too. I was in a big rush, so I'll have to go back next weekend and check. They charged me $19 to dump so when I pull the valve that should have been bone dry.
