RE: Towing Hummer H2

Not sure why either, but I read somewhere (that was selling a product) that it needed to be disconnected.

RE: Newbie

Mr.Mark, we hear good things about the Sig Resort. We hope to stay in all sort of RV Parks and do some dry camping. I've done some research and you may want to take a short trip to Pahrump next visit if you need some variety. Terribles in Pahrump has a lake, fishing and supports Big Rigs at very reasonable prices. I believe Pahrump has about 6 RV Parks but Terribles seems the better. Pahrump is roughly 1 hour from Las Vegas. Anyway, we plan to visit the Sig Park too.

Towing Hummer H2

I'll be towing a Hummer H2. I know some of you probably tow same. I plan to get a Blue Ox setup for H2. Probably 15,000 tow bar or maybe just 10,000. Not much difference in price from what I can see. Are their any issues I should know of or any special issues? I read where the battery much be disconnected on H2. I saw where there was a unit I could install to avoid this issue. Thanks for any feedback.

RE: The "non-essential must-have" items - What's on your list?

I'm a newbie and enjoyed reading this thread. Thanks for all the insight. Too bad of the firearm restrictions but I guess it could get out of control. These are a definite essential in my book.

RE: Newbie

Will post pics in a few days. Coach is just north of Knoxville, TN still on way to me here in Las Vegas. I guess about 3 more days, maybe 4. The H2 is in the garage but I'll wait and post the pair together. We are not "spring chickens" so I didn't feel we had time to progress through the logical progression of coaches.

Newbie

Just joined the forums. Well, we did it. After 1.5 years of consideration we purchased an RV and got a TOAD to go with it. We are both total newbies on the road. However, we do spend 24 hours per day together now without any problems. Both vehicles were lightly "preowned"... I'm not a big one for taking the initial lose on personal property. We decided we wanted to tour when we retire and not be tied down to a stick residence. Since we have never really tried the full time thing we are taking a "weeeee" chance. We have rented/borrowed MH's from time to time. We wanted as much room as possible so we got a Big Rig with 4 slides. We also got the all electric. I have done much research on this and the pro comments outweighed the cons. Overall, we would have done as we wanted anyway, but it's always nice to have support. Ok... just wanted to put my 2 cents here to get the ball rolling so to speak.
