Tradewinds, please send the pic of the MH that was damaged. We were hoping to get to Q this week but everything we heard wasn`t good. We had a little rain last night. suppose to be like that most all week. This next weekend is the lettuce festival so hopefully it will be nice. Have a safe trip down.

RE: Northwest Spring Rally, May 14-16, 2010

Ron, they are charging 450 at Fortuna.
Thanks for the info. Wow, we are only paying 340 here in Rockport and we are just across the road from the gulf! Of course, it is just a cement parklot with oak trees, but nice. How full are they?
BTW - if your interested, I have a new update on our travel blog ready to be read. Hope you enjoy it.
Take care
There is still alot of room. I don`t think there is as many as the past couple years

kd7cxg, We are at Fortuna De Oro in Yuma. It is by the foothills and the spots are VERY wide. There are still lots of spots. We have a pool, hot tub, restraunt, large laundry and showers. Nice park. It is in the east end of the foothills.

RE: Northwest Spring Rally, May 14-16, 2010

Believe it or not it has been cold down here in Yuma. Low 40`s at night. We had a wind storm this past week with 53mph winds. It has been cold in the day also, only in the 60`s. Today it is going to be in the 70`s. Believe me it is tough being here!! We have to even put up with blue skies all day. Yep, tough life here. We are thinking of you though.

Tradewinds....the idea on the jacks make sense. It is a little weird when it does though. Hoping someone on RV.net knows.
We are staying at Fortuna De Oro in Yuma. They seem to always have room.

RE: Motor home jacks

Horsedoc.........yep, that sounds like ours. I guess I just didn`t know how to explain it. We also thought it was because of settling. It does the same on concrete also. I have no idea either what is causing it. I figured with all the knowledge on RV.net someone would know.

we have a 2004 Pace Arrow and every now and then we hear the jack pressure release. Makes a loud thud noise. Any ideas?

RE: Northwest Spring Rally, May 14-16, 2010

Well the weather is turning cold now and it is time to head south. We are leaving Sunday heading to Oroville Ca. to visit the kids for a few days and then on to Yuma for some sunshine. We will be there for Thanksgiving. Tradewinds, let us know when you get down there. To the rest of you, enjoy your winter and we will see you at the spring rally!

RE: Propane verses electric

Yes, our rv park is outside the city. We took a copy of the law to the office last year and they said it doesn`t apply to them.............guess we will have to find a lot to go to.

Propane verses Electric

When we go south for the winter we have to pay .18KWH for electricity. We were wondering if it would be cheaper to use propane for your hot water heater or use electricity? What do you do??

RE: Northwest Spring Rally, May 14-16, 2010

Tradewinds....Yes we are still going to Yuma. We will be there the week before Thanksgiving this year.
On our trip we were with two other couples.....They had a 27ft and a 30ft class C. They made the hills okay. They weren`t towing either. We saw the sign that said steep upgrade ahead but one of our friends said it should be okay. NOT. Our brakes were ok. Was in first gear almost 40 miles! Plus road construction. We should have taken the low road after leaving Cody that went through greybull instead of lovell. Oh well, lesson learned.
