RE: Sunny South Carolina?
We are currently in the upstate of South Carolina. It is a beautiful, winter wonderland with 5" of snow on the ground. It is rare to see this much snow in this area. It's the perfect snow....it will be completely gone is a couple of days.

I had Berber and replaced it with laminate wood flooring. My issue with Berber carpet was if stained, it was extremely difficult, if not impossible, to remove the stain. I would never had Berber again. But, would recommend laminate wood flooring.

Well, I have always felt I could drive anything. DH drove for a living and really does not like to drive. So, if we are going anywhere, I drive. I have driven anything from a Honda Civic to an 18-wheeler. MH is only 38'. Towing is no problem, as the TOAD arrives at the same time the MH does. :)
It just takes an "I CAN DO IT" spirit. DH loves to tell people as I am backing into a campsite that he is "teaching me" how to drive.

We have crate trained on all our dogs. It is the easiest way to house train a dog. Not only does it make house training easier, when you are gone from home for a few hours it give them a safe place to stay. We have an 8 month old sheltie and if we tell him to "kennel up" he will head to his crate and lay down and wait for his treat. He loves the crate. When taking the dogs outside, we also, give them the command to "do your business" so our dogs will now go to the bathroom on command. Always, always use lots of praise and treats.

I feel fortunate I only take one prescription medication (for osteoprosis once per week.) Unfortunately, I have inherited little brittle bones. Other than that, fish oil, aspirin, calcium, and vitamin D daily.

We must have lost our minds.......
We have three shelties and I agreed to dogsit my brother's three labradoodles. It's been an interesting couple of days. On the plus side, all dogs get along well, we have had no accidents, and we are not in the motorhome. The down side, the weather has been rainy today. Oh well, we only have a couple of days to go.

I would like to thank everyone on the forum for helping answer all our questions, regarding mail service, how to maintain our Florida residency, getting rid of stuff, etc., etc., etc. We put the house on the market in March and will be closing (thank heavens) tomorrow. What an adventure it has been. We have been in the motorhome the last 2 weeks and have enjoyed our new lifestyle. This is an exciting new chapter in our live. One huge advantage of living in the motorhome, is we are out walking more and enjoying our new found friends instead of cleaning 3000 sq ft. of house and mowing 1-1/2 acres of yard. Again, thanks, to all of you for being willing to share your knoweldge and helping to support us when others around us think we have lost of minds. Happy Thanksgiving and safe travels to all of you!

RE: House finally under contract!
We listed our house in March, had a contract mid-August and will close just before Thanksgiving. We are 98% out of the house, living in the motor home. Can't wait to close. It's been a tremendous amount of work, but glad it's coming to an end......two weeks!

AntiqFreq: We were at the FL DMV last week. You can renew your driver's license 1 year ahead of the expiration date.
We have sold our home and have gotten a UPS Mailbox for receiving mail. We had no problems getting our driver's license changed listing the UPS Mailbox address. They wanted to know what our physical address was and we gave them a local campground address that we will be at initially. No "proof" was required.
