RE: Gold up -yikes

I believe you are correct, it is a new high. This spring the highest I saw it was at $1000 an ounce.

I had fun, my friends dropped me off at home this afternoon..Didn't catch any fish but had fun trying..It is always good to be back home, even after a good camping trip.

RE: How many of us are there? Owners of Dodge based RV's?

I need opinions on oil changes for our old Dodges. Should we go by the every 3000 miles then change it or should you go by so many months. It will take me maybe 3 years to put 3000 miles on mine. (The places I go are short trips) Thanks,I plan on changing the oil in mine twice a year if it needs it or not. There is no way I will put 3000 miles on mine in less than two or three years. I would rather play it safe and change the oil more often.

RE: How many of us are there? Owners of Dodge based RV's?

I think I ordered more than I need, if this is the case I might have enough of it to put a lining in it to make thermal curtains for the over the cab bunk.

The fabric arrived today. I ordered it before I chose the paint colors. Now I just have to wait for the foam. http://i41.photobucket.com/albums/e276/DesertEagle66/The-fabric-003.jpg height=400

RE: How many of us are there? Owners of Dodge based RV's?

all u need to do with the jb weld is cut a piece big enough to cover the crack,,mix it as instructed on the package and apply it to the are you cleaned press it into place and make sure you cover the crack completely and let it sit for 24 hours and it will stay there for ever ...I repaired a leak in my gas tank on a 1981 ford with out draining the tank it was leaking as I applied the jb weld and it was still there when I sold the truck 6 years later.. believe me its good stuff to seal a crack with....So the JB Weld will work on a gas tank as well? The gas tank on the Beast has a small hole in it at the top. I had one mechanic tell me that he could drop it, drain it and weld it. When I look under the rig I can see the small hole. If JB Weld can fix this leak, this will sure save me some money. :)

RE: How many of us are there? Owners of Dodge based RV's?

I was out today and when I came home I found that UPS had delivered a second toilet and escape hatch..Yikes, so I called the company I ordered them from and left them a message telling them that I now have a second toilet and hatch that I did not pay for and would like to return them. I also sent them an email and I will call again in a few minutes to see if I can manage to talk to a human.

Eyeteeth, Did you notice that Sister Shotgun said the crack was in a metal elbow not ABS. I don't think ABS Cement is the right choice. I would use JB Weld. So, do you think the JB Weld would work? If I can get by using the JB Weld I would much rather do that than to buy a new gray tank..

RE: How many of us are there? Owners of Dodge based RV's?

I did crawl under the rig last night and it looks like I have a very small black tank next to a much larger gray tank. The metal elbow coming out of the gray tank is cracked, the black tank is fine. ... I had someone tell me that they 'think' that JB Weld can be used on the cracked elbow.. I am not sure about if this would work or not. It is not a major leak, and it has a small drip here and there. So, what would you all do? Replace the gray tank or try the JB Weld to see if that is a quick fix? Never heard of using JB Weld. It is an easy enough fix... My recommendation. Materials: ABS Plastic cement (It's in a small blue metal can with a brush attached in the lid) non stretching fabric Prep: Make sure the area is clean, and dry. NO MOISTURE. Cut the fabric into small strips... think paper mache Job: Apply the ABS Cement to the area to be repaired. Apply strip of fabric to area, coat generously with more cement until fabric is completed coated/saturated. Repeat until you feel you have adequately covered/sealed area Let dry. Then fuhgedaboutit... You should be fine, and only 10-15 minute job including cleanup...sounds good, where do I get the non stretching fabric?

RE: How many of us are there? Owners of Dodge based RV's?

It is good to see that I am not the only one with a all in one bathroom. My 16 year old son calls it the 3-S bathroom, sit, shower and shave at the same time..:R:B The bathroom in my rig, I was told that they never used it, at least not the toilet. I did crawl under the rig last night and it looks like I have a very small black tank next to a much larger gray tank. The metal elbow coming out of the gray tank is cracked, the black tank is fine. The lever to open the gray tank is stuck closed, looks like an easy fix. I had someone tell me that they 'think' that JB Weld can be used on the cracked elbow.. I am not sure about if this would work or not. It is not a major leak, and it has a small drip here and there. So, what would you all do? RE: How many of us are there? Owners of Dodge based RV's?

The new toilet has been installed and does not leak! And yes I put on that new rubber gasket thingy and once I tightened it down I sat on it and found that it needed to be tightened more. Yay! It's very important to have a properly-functioning toilet.I have found that I am able to do a lot of things now that my soon-to-be ex husband used to do around here. Now with him gone, I found that I can actually do the things he used to do. Never thought that I would ever get the chance to have my own class C or be able to go camping again.

I found the second bolt, it was all the way in the back of the toilet..I have now given hugging the toilet a new meaning..Very tight squeeze trying to loosen that bolt..
