RE: Kentucky Bound

Check out a Lexington Legends baseball game. They are the single-A affiliate for the Kansas City Royals.

RE: 2013 Major League Baseball Season Thread

Let's go Redlegs! Best start in 11 years. Now if we can just start beating teams with records over 500. Our starting rotation is one of the best in baseball, and the bats are finally starting to wake up.

RE: Funny Town Names?

-You have to drive through Beaverlick, KY to get to Big Bone Lick State Park
I know several ways to get to Big Bone Lick SP without going through Beaverlick.
I've always enjoyed the drive from Napoleon to Waterloo. They're only about twenty miles apart.
Good for you.

RE: Would You Take That Dollar?

The kids nowadays like to play a prank called "poop dollar" (search it on YouTube for an explanation) that will always make me leery of picking up a dollar on the ground. If you're going to pick it up, kick it over with your foot first. I'll leave it at that.

RE: Extended X-Chock??

Hey Folks,
I just purchased a 2013 Freedom Express 246RKS. It has a spread axle that measures right at 16". My question is if the extended x-chock will work properly?.
Thanks
Extended x-chocks work in spaces up to 17", so they should work for you.

RE: LITTLE FARM ON THE RIVER RV RESORT (Rising Sun, IN)

The river sites are definitely more spacious than the upper section, but it's still a great place. Activities for the kids, pool, golf cart rentals, and very close to Rising Star Casino. We are on the waiting list for a seasonal site, but we're #47 on the list, so we'll be waiting a while.

RE: You can can dry camp at Walmart for free.

Stormlaw, I guess you've noticed by now that many of the senior members on here either have a major case of keyboard courage, like to try their hand at a feeble attempt of sarcasm and comedy, or just post on here because they like to watch their post count increase. Once you weed through the bs that many post on here, you will find some very helpful information. Don't let the smart arses steer you away from here. Happy camping.

RE: Doing the Distillery tours in Kentucky

You can buy Jack Daniels at the Distillery to take home
Nope. Lynchburg TN and the county it is in (Moore Co.) are "dry". No liquor sales.
They found a loop hole or they have a big bootleg store at the distillery:E When we were there last year you could buy bottles of Jack to take home with you in the store at the souvenier shop. Even had some "distillery only" bottles that are not available anywhere else.
Huh, I was there 6 years ago and didn't remember seeing that. Wish I would have! Unless the law has changed since I was there.

Stove knob covers on an rv stove

I have an almost 2 year old son who has to touch everything in the TT, including turning the stove and oven knobs. I found safety knob covers for home ovens. Has anyone used these on their rv stove before? Is there any reason why they would not work on an rv stove? Thanks in advance!

RE: New to Seasonal Site.

We have a seasonal in Indiana, and love it. I do notice that many of the others use cinder blocks stacked up under each stabilizer jack. Not sure how much more stable that makes them, but it must work. I still crank the jacks down onto wooden blocks, and works just fine for us.

Lynchburg TN is also dry, so you won't be able to buy any Jack Daniels. Not even samples. Free smells though!

RE: age

After many years tent camping, we bought a Palomino Mustang pop up 10 years ago. I was 30 at the time. 2 years ago, after saving our Pennies, we purchased the brand new TT in my sig. I miss the pop up at times, but would never go back to one. We sure had some great times in it though!

RE: Experiences with Two CWs in Florida

According to the "Authorities" on this forum, you can't possibly be telling the truth since this is your first post.
Actually, I think that line of thinking is ridiculous. Sorry for your troubles.
I still can't believe anyone would purchase a camper at Camping World. Boggles my mind.
Those "authorities" will also insist that there is some kind of "other side to the story." Cracks me up.

RE: central campground Smokey Mountains RV&Cabin

Claboughs Campground in Pigeon Forge has a creek (I believe), 2 pools plus a lazy river, and cabins to rent. There is also a trolley stop right in front of the campground. It is located just a couple of miles off of the Parkway on Wears Valley Road, so it's away from the crowd, but not far from it.
