RE: Driveway/Pad Size

Turning radius will depend on the "wheel cut" and wheelbase of the coach you end up buying. Here is a link to take a look at. http://blog.thormotorcoach.com/motorhome-turning-radius-wheel-cut/

RE: To TOAD or Not to TOAD, that is the question

I think you would be wise to have it with you for a number of reasons, especially medical. Instead of buying a dolly to tow with, take a look at this website and see if Remco has a lube pump that you could install. Cost of pump would be about the same as tow dolly but would not include labor cost. Also, could trade the Rav4 on a Honda CRV and no need for a pump or tow dolly. Just another couple of options to look at. http://www.remcoindustries.com/Towing/Store.php

RE: New Q on washer/dryer decision

Bob, We have the 220 Bosch dryer in our 05 monaco dynasty. I think this is fairly common on the very high end coaches such as Prevost, etc. but not so much in our mid-range coaches. In our setup, the separate dryer sits on top of the washer and is close to a full size. I also know you must have the 10KW or 12KW generator to run 220. I guess if you only wire it for shore power you wouldn't need the 10KW + generator. There is also a transfer switch involved that allows 220V into the coach main electrical fuse panel. Ours is a great setup and we can do multiple loads and have them dry in 3 or 4 hrs. This is the one feature along with the residential refrigerator that we really appreciate. PM me for more info if you want and I can email you some pics if you wish.

RE: Roof top antenna bouncing

This is similar to the dryer vent as posted earler, but a little more robust and should last a while. It will break up the air ahead of the antenna. http://www.westmarine.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?productId=112490&catalogId=10001&langId=-1&storeId=11151&storeNum=50667&subdeptNum=50677&classNum=50678#.UTapMKWc9S8

RE: A/C from dash not working

What pressures are your gauges showing at 1500 rpm with the compressor clutch engage for a few minutes? Does the compressor clutch cycle on and off in a short cycle? I don't think a bad expansion valve would allow you to see "correct pressures". Also, what is the ambient temperature where you are presently located and trying to get the air working?

RE: height alarm

No. However, many of the newer rv gps systems have the restrictions built in and in some cases they will take you out of the way for no good reason. In most cases you will find a warning sign for low clearance. 13' 6" is generally the minimum on interstate highways. I take this along with me and look closely at it if I am planning any back roads. http://www.amazon.com/Motor-Carriers-Road-Atlas-Mcnally/dp/0528006355/ref=pd_sim_sbs_b_2

RE: campground near Tallahassee Fl

I stay at Tallahassee RV Park each year and have no problem with sites. They will know where to put you based on your size and no. of slides. I am 42' with 4 slides. Great place for overnight or a few weeks. Easy off/on from I-10 and very nice Publix just down the street for stocking up on groceries.

RE: Gray tank empty and not filling?

Doug and IvyLog, Long shot here but any chance she could have a clog at her pull valve on the gray tank and the black tank is ok but since she may be opening both (when hooked up at shore), the black and gray tanks are "equalizing" and everything is draining out the black tank valve leaving the gray tank at the full level all the time. Then when she shuts off the valves (black and gray) the gray is still full and backing up? Regardless, until she answers Doug's questions we are all still guessing.

RE: Creeping Slide

The large slide on my 05 bounder creeps out about 1/2" after driving to a new location. The slide goes in tight prior to leaving but is out when I get to where I'm going. Any ideas? TOM Hydraulic or Electric? Manufacturer of slide system?

RE: Re-piped kitchen sink

Ok. That makes more sense to me now. That filter system was designed for one spigot drinking water use only. Do you not have a "whole house" filter system in one of your bays? If not, pick one up and install it and then you can do totally away with that compact filter system. I think if you go back and take a look at a post you made back in Oct. 2012, you will find that recommendation from some others. If that was the only filter system installed from the factory, I am really surprised that it was hooked up to the kitchen sink. I understand the drinking water only faucet and the ice maker as that .5 fpm flow would be fine. No doubt you had very restrictive flow using that system with the kitchen sink faucet. Here is the link to your original post about this problem. Thanks for your patience in further explanation for me. Post in Oct. 2012

RE: Re-piped kitchen sink

Monaco designed it right. They filtered all the water that was going into your food, drink and mouth. If you have the right filters and they are clean, look elsewhere for the blockage. Most of the time it is the filters but sometimes the screen in the faucet outlet is the problem. Monaco also designed a separate ultra-violet treated system that fed a faucet on your sink for sanitizing you cups, countertops, etc. This was available as an option as was the insta-hot system. Most of the 10" filters handle 3 -4 gals. per minute flow with some down to 1 - 2 gals per min. I have never had a water flow problem on my 05 system unless the filters were clogged.

RE: King size bed?

Ours came from factory with king air controlled bed, residential washer/dryer (220v) and residential refrigerator. How do you get 220v powed to it? Do you have to run the generator to do laundry? No. Just plug into 50A at the pedestal and you have 220 available with the right transfer switch since 220V is present at the pedestal. The generator has to be a 10Kw or larger to supply the 220v but yes you can run the dryer while going down the road. For someone looking for this setup with king bed, residential refrig and Bosch stacked washer w/220V dryer, I now have it for sale.

RE: a/c thermostat question

IF you want this capability, you will have to upgrade the Roof AC/HP to the 12 button wall CCC. That means you will have to purchase 3 AC 12 button control boards and the 1 wall 12 button tstat. The 12 button DOES allow HP/furnace and AC cool on different zones. Parts alone will be about $500 to $600. Doug Doug, In my 05 dynasty, I have two, five button wall controllers with three a/c-heat pumps on the roof. One of the controllers, takes care of two zones (bedroom and mid coach) and the other controller takes care of one zones (front coach/one ac/heat pump). I believe I can select the ac on the front zone and the heat pump on the two rear zones at the same time. I cannot select ac and heat on the one controller for the mid coach and bedroom ac/heat pump. This give me the option of having the front ac set on 72 and the mid/rear set on heat pump at 67 for instance. So if I am in a climate where the temp. rises early morning or late evening, the front ac will come on. If, during the night the temp drops below 67, the heat pumps will kick in. I will check to be sure, but I think I have done this before. Not sure if the OP has two controllers for his three heat pumps or just one controller.

RE: Air Compressor Suggestions

I have the same one motoxbob has and I agree it is very good and capable of 125psi fairly quickly. http://www.sears.com/craftsman-1.5-gallon-portable-air-compressor-with-hose/p-00915309000P?prdNo=6&blockNo=6&blockType=G6 It is a perfect size to stand up in a bay and easy to carry if need be. Agree on the hose, you will need to upgrade that.

RE: RVing in Washington, DC

Cherry Hill and this if 65 or older. If not 65, get the smart card anyway. The office at Cherry Hill often has left over cards with no value on them but you can add value at the metro stations. http://www.wmata.com/fares/smartrip/senior.cfm
