RE: a new Jayco owner

We also stored the table on its side and the stripping on the side came off and the board started to chip. I was given a new table which we do not store on its side.

RE: Trading a Jayco 23B for a Jayco 23J - your thoughts

This is a bit off topic but....I have a 23B but loved the 23J when I saw it. BUT, where do you store sewer hose, extension cords, trailer set-up stuff? In the 23B I have the narrow external storage which is limiting but better than nothing.

RE: Question for Jayco 26P Owners

Purchased a 26P this past month. The cabinet door opens towards the rear bed/slide. You can mount your SAT component inside the TV cabinet. This is where the power ant/coax connection is located. There is also factory audio, video and aux cables running to the dvd/cd radio in the base cabinet.
With two large windows, the rear king bed slide gives you a HTT feel that is brighter and much more roomy than my HTT was. The entire trailer feels more open and airy than my HTT. There are so many windows and the two slides just open it up. Once open it is over 35 feet in length but tows under 30 at 28.9. The U Shape dinette is very large as well and very comfortable for a family. There is tons of storage inside and the cabinetry is very well done. All drawers are ball bearing slides and all the cabinetry is solid wood.
\
Also, as an FYI, the trailer shown on the JAYCO site does not show an additional window that was added late summer. It is between the rear door and the kitchen window.
How many does it sleep?

RE: Dallas, Tx Owners

All I did was to blow out lines and put antifreeze in traps
What size air pump do you have? Sears has a 3lb. one for $99 this week. Is that what I would use?

RE: Dallas, Tx Owners

Thanks for responding. I did empty the water tank and closed the line to the water heater, but I pumped one gallon of anti freeze with cold faucets open and then realized I was supposed to do hot water lines first. anyway, I have used a gallon and very little has come out of the faucets.
I have a 23b. the low point drains are under the refrigerator and the valve handle is perpendicular to the line. Is this correct? This is how it was when I started.
Anyway, I need more antifreeze and am too tired tonite. I will invite my son to help me tomorrow.
I appreciate any advice you have. I saw 88pages on winterizing, but I am too tired to read tonite.

Dallas, Tx Owners

Have you winterized yet? I just camped for Thanksgiving and I don't want to have to do it today. Is everyone winterizing for the predicted low of 26? It is warming up next week.
My trailer is between two houses and gets some protection.
Thanks.

RE: Tornado at end of empting only?

Thank you, all of you. I do have the clear elbow, but just was questioning the procedure. I need to start adding water as soon as I drain it at the park. I have been waiting until I get home to add water and a blue "cube". I am also going to get the water softener.
I have printed your responses.
Thanks again.

Tornado at end of empting only?

This has probably been answered numerous time, but please have patience and answer it one more time.
When emptying the black tank, do you wait until it is empty to use the tornado or do you turn it on while the tank is emptying?
Thanks.

Dual water use for portable tank?

Does anyone use the portable gray water tank for black water also? Or, do you have two portable tanks, one for gray and one for black water?

RE: water line handles in a 23B

If I am not using the fresh water tank, shouldn't it be closed?

Do both of these lines go to the bathroom? If not, what do they connect?

water line handles in a 23B

This is for 2008 Jayco 23b owners. In the cabinet located beneath the refrigerator (and under the drawer), are the handles of the water lines supposed to be parallel with the water lines or perpendicular to them? This is when you are notusing the water tank under the trailer. I touched these handles and later forgot how they were originally.
