RE: Planning East Coast Trip, need advice!
The KOA in West Chester has a guided tour that leaves right from the campground. We took the tour one day and then drove in our selves the next. Penns Landing is easy to get to and with-in walking distance to most of the historic sections of Philly.
Two years ago we stayed at the KOA in Middleboro, Mass. They have a van that will take you to the nearest train station in which you can go into downtown Boston. When we stayed there we also took day trips and visited Salem, Cape Cod, Plymouth, Provience town, Nantucket Island and Martha's Vinyard(check out the ferry systems). We also visited Newport, RI. & Mystic Seaport, CT but that was a very LONG day with lots of driving. I wouldn't suggest it.

RE: RVing with family from NYC to Niagara Falls and back
I second the KOA in Newburg very nice campground with two pools. Just around the corner from them is OCC (Orange County Chopper) neat place to visit... Between NYC and Niagara there is Holiday Hill in Bath, NY also Letchworth state park in Mt. Morris, NY. From Letchworth Niagara is only about 1 1/2 hour.. Are you going on the Canadian side or American side of the falls?

Thanks everyone!!! I forgot all about the Bad Lands, and Wall Drug store... Yellowstone was in the plan but I wasn't sure if we would have the time. You guys are really helpful in knowing how much time we should expect to spend in each area..... Any one else want to chime in?? Keep the ideas coming they are greatly appreciated!!

South Dakota trip
My husband just found out that he will have three weeks off starting next week!!!:B I was thinking we could take the kids out to South Dakota to see Mt. Rushmore, crazy horse and the corn palace. Hoping to stop in Chicago, Ill and perhaps go to the Mall of America in MN as well...What the heck we're going to be in those areas anyway.. Traveling from upstate Ny to SD..Any one have any other suggestions as to some places we should stop and see while traveling. Any campground suggestions?? What about Mall of America do they allow overnights? Thanks

Thanks for all the suggestions. Sounds like taking the "Metro" into downtown would be the easiest. We are comming in from the east (NY - Buffalo area). We're taking a two week trip with our coming stop in Ohio at Cedar Point Park. My husband has been to Chicago several times on business trips and thought the kids might like to visit the city since we have the time and will "first" be out that way anyways. Only problem is when my husband was in Chicago on business it was all wine and dine. Not really kid friendly stuff. Anybody else have any kids friendly ideas...anyway have to be in the city. Thanks again

looking to up grade
We currently have a Jayco Jayfeater 23B (Hybrid) which we love..However we are finding that we are doing more traveling than camping and the set up and tear down time is becoming a bit of a hassel...We are in the process of getting a newer suburban so I was wondering that other families of 5 are camping with? Would anyone like chime to in??

1000 Island camping
We haven't been to the 1000 Islands in years. Last time we stayed at the Jolly Roger CG but I can't seem to find it.. So I'm looking for suggestions for some place to stay....Something with a pool would be great..Unfortunately my kids don't like ponds, oceans or lakes. (Another story for another time ) Thanks.

Happy Easter everyone!! Sorry I haven't checked in for a while...Like someone on here said Face Book is addicting:R..I've never been much of a PC person but with Face Book I've been able to reconnect with a lot of old high school/college friends. If any of you want to be "freinds" I'm under Shelley Rae Schaeffer...
As you all know we wont be able to make this years rally..At least we wont be able to camp... Rob was laid off after 23 years of service last January. He was lucky and quickly picked up a contracting job with the city of Rochester. This contracting stuff is all new to us so we're hanging tight until June when we see if the contract will be renewed...
I guess their contract jobs run June - June..??

Nascarcruisen..Thanks for the "link"...I'm not very good with this computer stuff..I've been using RV.Net for 6 years now. I am addicted!! My oldest Daughter wanted a "page" on FB and we agreed if she let me be a friend...We'll now I'm hooked..I've been hunting down old friends and family....Between RV.Net and FB I'll never get anything done..:)
