Our Workhorse on a 2004 has 3 screws. Two forward and one in the middle of the aft end. They are buried in the carpet pretty good.

RE: A/C drainage. How to control it?
Only way to stop condensations is to not run the A/C. The higher the temperature and humidity the more condensation will be produced. If you want to direct the water to a certain place a bead of caulk is the best idea.

That's why they installed propane detectors in RVs. Most will shut off the gas between the tank and the inside if fumes are present besides setting off an alarm.

Very common in the RV industry. Ours was built 2003 but not titled until 2004. This question comes up a lot and it all depends on when the manufacture delivered the RV and the dealership applied for title.

Easies way to light a standing pilot over is to turn the thermostat up above 200. This allows a little more gas to flow to the pilot burner. Once lite turn back to pilot or temperature you plan on using. If it won't light remove and clean the pilot burner since you may have a spider that made a home.

RE: Flexible Heater Ducting
If you can get access then the rigid duct would be better. Just like on the home dryer the air flow and heat is more productive with the rigid Aluminum pipe that comes in Elbows and 3' sections that are taped together with Aluminum tape and not duct tape. Stay away from the semi rigid that comes in usually 10' sections because it's to thin and crushes to easy.
The flexable pipe they run is good if it's stretched out but most of the time it's just balled up with way to may turns.

I own Ford built cars but I prefer the Workhorse 8.1 and Allison transmission. For one thing mileage is better than Ford along with better towing. I have a 2004 Bounder and yes it did have the brake recall but you can not beat the engine and transmission match up. I find the 8.1 to be easy to access and the air intake did not need to be modified to keep rain water from soaking the filter when driving in heavy rain.

There are three camp ground in Monroe, MI right off I-75 with full hook ups and there's the Wayne fair grounds E & W on I-94 just down the street from Camping World. The fair grounds would be the shortest drive.

Dump station at Cabala's in Dundee, MI
Called today and was told the dump station on the west side of the Cabala's store in Dundee, MI has reopened from it's winter rest. This is a free dump station so if you stop please keep it clean, you are on camera.

Just take a screw drive between the posts and touch them with the screw drive at the same time. This will short out any power in the Capacitor.

It's the same build up you'll find if you drain and flush your home water heater. It's in almost all water heaters and is normal from the chemical reaction of the water being heated.

Most garden hose are not safe for use in drinking water, I have one green and white hose that when I got it was labeled safe for drinking water. That's why the safe hoses are white so you know what is ok to use.

We've been RVing for almost 40 years with our kids growing up and now getting ready to retire and full time. We started out with a B and then to a C. Then three A in a row. Other than a few minor bumps we never had an accident in the RVs. When we had the C the kids use to get up in the cab over going down the road and in the first A they use to watch TV. A lot has to do with the way you drive and speeds.
Things have changed over the years and there has been improvement in the construction and safety in the RVs. We never worn seat belts until the 80s in any of our vehicles. Up until we got the present 2004 Bounder I very rarely worn the seat beat in the MH.
We have traveled well over 200,000 miles in our RVs over the years. As I stated earlier a lot has to do with your driving abilities, speeds, and driving defensively. I feel much safer in the RV than in a car, train, or plane.

RE: eating lunch at the fuel pumps
We had the same thing here in MI but Goofy came in the wrong way and we could see him and his wife sit down at there table. The DW went up and started pounding on their door. He got up and came to the door and told her they were eating lunch. she told him there were RV waiting and if he didn't want a mad husband coming over next, they need to pull out from the pumps and park over in the parking area for lunch. It Goofy about 30 seconds to start and move over to the other area.

RE: Seminar @ Camping World
We had a great seminar at the Camping World store in Belleville, MI. The man was out of Winegard in Elkhart, IN. We ended up buying a Dish receiver since our motor home already had a tracking dish installed on the roof and he answer questions and concerns the DW had.

One thing you have to remember is an RV is not a house and repairs are not going to always be the same that are done in a home. The other part is your insurance company who has the final say if the repair is done if they are paying for it. If it's out of your pocket then you have the final say.
