It is a function of the DMV office, each has their own rules. Up here, the Santa Theresa office requires you to bring a driver, Milpitas does not. I would go to your office before hand and observe what they require.

Curt Q5 Hitch Owners Movement between hitch and pin box
Curt Q5 Hitch Owners
I have a question on how much movement between the pin box and hitch you get when you rock the tow vehicle back and forth. We are getting about a 1/4 inch. (viewed from the side) When viewed from the rear you can see the jaws open slightly. Does all this seem normal? The hitch is new and we are new to 5th wheels.
