Mounting a lcd in a 21ss

Has anyone mounted a lcd tv in a Roo 21ss,its really the only gripe I have with our 2010 Roo,having to box and unbox the tv on each trip,it would be much easier to mount it but there doesnt appear anywhere to mount it where they have the entertainment system at,thanks

RE: How many nights have you camped?

We purchased our new 2010 Roo 21ss in late November and already have 15 days camped in it.In Florida this time of year,we go every other or every third weekend for 3 to 4 nights at a time.We love our new camper.

RE: Best Way To Sell my Hybrid

I sold my 2004 Rockwood Roo 19ft a couple of months ago on craigslist for $7000.00 in less than a week, but then again it is a good time to sell a camper in Florida.

RE: Looking to Buy

Think most of ya should stay with a TENT and all the gear you can pack in a JEEP (and unpack)!!!!! If you are going to be real get a V8 motor with a wheel base so the trailer does not PASS you on the road and hit my family!!!! just my 2 cents rvtommy
i dont believe your two cents was worth a penney.Whatever your vehicle is rated to tow, that IS what you can tow safely w/ proper WDH and sway control, sure its nice and smart to have a cushion, but the max they put on it is what you can safely tow, period.
As Chuck says "in specs is in specs"

RE: Question on the slide-out on the Roo

Never heard of a slide with a weight limit but obviously they all have SOME sort of limits to what they can handle. Forest River has more than likely ASSUMED that people will be using the chairs and sofas with the slide extended so pretty hard to imagine it's not a WAY more than can practically be put on it though.
Thats kinda what I thought.

RE: Looking to Buy

I have a Explorer w/ a v6 rated at 5375lbs for towing,and we have a 21ss,it pulls it ok,about 2500 rpm @ 60mph w/ overdrive locked out,but I wouldnt go any heavier than that,and we use a Reece dual cam wdh.

RE: Looking to Buy

Soon to be Newbie here looking to purchase first RV. We are most interested in a trailer between 19-23 feet in length. We would like a slide as well since there are 4 of us. Me, the wife, 3 year old and our Bull Dog “Oscar” Like the Starcraft 21SSO (found one used) and the ROO 23SS.
TV is a 2009 tow package equipped Jeep Liberty so I’m good there.
Im not sure the Liberty will pull a 23 footer, you should check it out, buy I think the Roo 19ft might be all it will pull.

Question on the slide-out on the Roo

Is there a weight limit on the dinette/couch on the slide out of the 21ss,just wondering cause it sits way out there and you could possibly have 4 people sitting at the table and a couple more on the couch at the same time, thanks

RE: dumb roo questions

Yes you can use the bathroom with the beds up.The beds are actually the walls on the side of the Roo,they are latched in place, when unlatched they swing down and are held up by either poles (2004 and before) or cables (2005 and newer),the hybrids are great campers.I had a Roo 19ft. and really liked it for 2 to 4 people,I wouldnt even consider the 17ft. unless my tow vehicle was an issue.

Here are pics of our new 2010 Roo 21SS

Here are pics as promised,I am making a list of some general questions that I will ask later. This Roo had lots of options, but the one it didnt have is a oven, just wasnt a deal breaker as we never used the one in our previous Roo,and gives us more storage.

RE: Our new 2010 Roo 21SS is Home ***update***

We were also told not to use them by our dealer (Pontiac RV) because they would cause seal damage.
That is what my dealer told me,that eventually it would cause seal damage.

RE: Question re mattress toppers

Thanks Bikendan! Makes sense.
Have you ever dry camped in sub freezing temps? Any tips on staying warm. I've read about the pop up gizmo's. Anything else?
You may want to start your own thread on this so your not hijacking someone elses,my pop up gizmos worked great in the summer, havent tried them yet in the cold(2 more weeks),but I dont know that they are gonna do much in sub freezing temps.

Our new 2010 Roo 21SS is Home ***update***

Well we picked up our new 2010 Roo 21SS today, and it is beautiful, love the aluminum wheels. The Explorer w/ v6 pulled it just fine,in fact it pulled it better than our old 19ft Roo,maybe because I didnt use a WDH until today.cant wait to take out on its maiden voyage in two weeks.I would like to post a pic in my sig. but it wont let me,I dont know why,I sized it correctly. One thing,do you use the braces for the slide-out while towing,it seems that over time it may do damage to the foam seal, thanks

RE: 09' Shamrock 21ss or 10' Roo 21ss

going from a 2004 19ft Roo to the 2010 21ss is a huge upgrade, almost went with a 23ss but about 75% of the time its just me and DW,plus the 21ss is a little lighter, and we are close on towing weight, but it is a beautiful camper.
