Had Stanley Steamer clean the carpets today as the last thing before putting the RV up for the winter.

Removed defunct Datron Dish from the roof, West System Epoxied the holes (will paint tomorrow) and getting ready to install a new King-Dome 2200 (Satellite AND off-air antenna).

I saw the ad for the new model King-Dome in the November FMCA Magazine. If it pulls in off-air stations as advertised, I'll remove the Wingard antenna from the roof as well.

Expecting a rare, early season hard freeze here in San Antonio, so just to be safe brought in the outside storage compartment TV set and connected the insulation/heat tape-wrapped water hose to the RV. Exercised the generator and ran the RV diesel engine, which I routinely do at least monthly when setting for a spell.

Installed 2 vent covers on our new (to us) rig. Blew out the lines but haven't added the pink yet. Hoping to use the rig again before it gets real cold.

Did first round of polishing roof cap clear coat application. Not professional but looks fine from the ground and may stop the peeling of the 15 yr old stuff.

Brought the motorhome home from the repair shop; It was in there almost three months, hurah; hurah; hurah; was raining like crazy, where I have to get it in beside the house, I have 6 inches clearance on one side about a foot on the other side and I have to back it in at an angle, stuck my head out the one side watch that side; wife on the other side yelling her head off that I'm going to hit the house; (thats the 6 inch side.) Well I'm soaked to the skin, but happy as---- you know what; just to get my baby back home. she's parked, the electric pluged in and its time to get ready to hit the road, After christmas.

My husband has ours into the shop right now, getting it ready for the trip south. I think he is getting the transmission oil changed and the coolant taken care of, but I might not have that right, but he is getting ready to go anyway. The motorhome has been in storage for the past winters.
