I don't have any advice, but I am glad to see you "going for it" on this project. One of these days, once I launch the kids, I'd love to tear into a project like this.

AS for the lift system parts Goshen makes two types http://www.goshenstamping.com/content/lift_system.htm and parts for each are still available.
As for the roof two suggestions use plywood in place of the OSB. It's usually more available in 10 ft lengths. Second forget the butyl tape. Manufactures use it because it's cheap and easy to use and in most cases lasts the life of the warranty. A good urathane or poly sufide caulk will out last butyl tape 3 or 4 times as long.
Look into using Eternabond tape a well. It's a permanent solution to seams leaking.
