We like Rib City near Ft Myers, for a great burger No Frills Grill near Lake Placid. Thomas Edisons winter home was a nice tour. Lots of flea markets, lots of beaches, lots of places to golf, or fish. MH packed and leaving in the morning for Lake Placid Fl. Oh yea! Sebring race track, seems like something is always going on. Oh! I forgot the weather ----warm sunshine! Love this new lifestyle called "retirement"

We like Cody's Roadhouse for lunch or dinner. They have great specials and have many locations. We go to the V.F.W. for friday night fish fries and if you look around there are a lot of small resterants to choose from.

There is a place on 229 Stuart Ave in downtown Lake Wales, "Herradura
Mexican Restaurant", in side in the middle of the building.
Authentic Mex!

The previously mentioned Cherry Pocket get's a tip o the hat as well!

There is a place up the road from Mike's in Bartow, opposite side of road, think it is Catfish Charlie's or something about Cat Fish, fried the way you like it.

If you are in Wachula and headed towards Zellfo Springs there is a smallish building on the four way intersection of 17 and 64, on the South West corner, diagnolly across from the Hess Station that has Fried Chicken daily and on Fridays, Fried Catfish. They have Corn Fritters that dropped out of Heaven into the fri-olator!!! I am sorry but I cannot remember the name but the location is shown above.

North on 27 beyond 50 is The Bee's Camp Ground and on Tuesdays they Fry Chicken and on Friday's they fry fish, Flounder Fish not Cat Fish, and they have Corn fritters that are excellent and Apple Sauce like Granma used to make only better. Line around the building but the food is worth the wait!

There are a few other 'spots' that we enjoy but want to keep the crowds down so will withhold the names.

Enjoy!

Shells and yes, they are. One in Brandon, Holmes Beach, and other locations I can't remember. That's good value and decent food.

Gofar Magazine (motorcycle mag.) had an article by "Kati". Here's what she wrote;

As I do every month, I've come up with a ride to a place for those that eat to ride and ride to eat. If you take Hwy 78/Pine Island Rd. in North Ft. Myers all the way to the end heading west, you'll take the road either left or right. Take a right, that is Stringfellow Rd, go about 3 miles to a place called "Bokeelia Cracker Cafe". Gourmet barbeque & seafood. Pretty neat little place, we found it one morning when riding Pine Island looking for someplace for breakfast. The owners are riders and very friendly. Sunday is a small buffet of homemade food and next to it is the brunch buffet. The food is very good; I tried some of most of what they had for breakfast....

I havn't tried this place myself, but it sounds tempting.
