Hey there, Hi there, Ho there!

Just did my first post here on RV.Net....and lurked for quite a while first! Just ordered a 2010 Jayco Embark QX390 and sold our Class A Motorhome. We did a lot of research first, looked at everything. We sold the 2007 Newell 450 that we recently inherited.

It was however way too much RV for us, we're used to entry level or midline Travel Trailers and Fifth Wheels...and this thing was a behemoth! At 45' long and wife wouldn't even consider driving it, it was exactly like driving a condo down the street!

This Embark was perfect, the big suprise? My wife asked me during the test drive to pull over and let her drive!!! Our new one should be here around Halloween.

Anyway I hope to pump your collective minds for info later on when this Jayco finally shows up! Thanks in Advance!

I guess that 6' makes a big difference, but I'm looking at the Jayco website, and I think your new rig is HUGE!

Anyway, Congratulations on the new RV....welcome to the group, there is lots of information to be gleaned here, so don't be shy.

Happy Camping!!!

I think the determining factor for us is that up in the Embarks cab it just feels more "car like" than the feel of a mobile livingroom the Newell gave us. Like I said the wife loves it, and can take turns driving now! And 6' shorter helps too! I'm also betting that it handles better in the wind as well.

Congratulations. We're thinking of moving up from an 08 Seneca to the Embark. What was the price range, 150 to 160? 160 to 170? 170 to 180? Just the range is good enough for posting here. Where did you buy it? Which options? I have never seen an actual Embark so I'm curious as to your impressions of the unit in comparison to the Seneca. (ride, air noise, engine noise, fit and finish etc.)

CONGRATULATIONS! Had a chance to tour the Jayco plant when the EMBARK was first introduced. You did well! IMHO the design and construction is outstandig. My only negaitve is why not a recliner or chair of some sort. Thst is what I love about our SENECA, it has, as our 5 yr old granddaughter says, "Grandpa's chair".

Enjoy!

Yukoner, we'll give a full review when it finally shows up in October. Mnsprk, we ordered a matching Jayco recliner for me, the wife likes the sofa for relaxing. Our impression when test driving it were very favorable as far of lack of road noise, and we were also impressed by the Jayco's fit and finish as well as the beautiful woodworking. We both apreciated all of the storage under the RV...huge! We ordered it all the options except exterior refrigerator (?), got the dual 15K AC, genny, satellite dish, with the Mahogany full body paint and the awsome dark maple wood interior, too. And we got a pretty nice deal at Richardson's RV. Later!

Glad to hear that a recliner can be ordered. As I said we were there when the inital production was being done and I don't think it was available then. DITTO on the woodwork and craftsmanship. Again, IMHO Jayco does an outstanding job..

HAPPY CAMPING AND SAFE TRAVELS..

no offense but you're going from an 07 newell to an embark!!??the newell is the top of the food chain for rv's and probably drives/steers/handles better than anything out there today other than a new prevost!hope you put alot of cash in your pocket when you sold it.
