Used an inverter at first figuring I would save propane but realized refer wasn't using much propane to begin with. Now I always travel with refer on propane and it seems to cool better than when on electric, at least for my fridge. Happy camping!!

Just turn it off right before pulling up to the gas pumps. Always off when fueling the vehicle or propane tank.

My refridgerator is about 26 ft from my diesel tank opening on my truck and on the curb side. If a spark can jump that far...................then..............On before I leaver and off when I come home except for ferries natch. JMHO

We're always on, but I suggest you keep an eye out occasionally for the "fault" light. At least at first. I've read some have had trouble with the burner blowing out while driving. Has never been a problem for us.
We've run out in the house, but the RV has two.

I asked the dealer about that during the walk through because I was worried about it. He just said of course you can leave it on. I hadn't thought about the part about turning it off when gassing up. Good advice!

Never turned it off until I witnessed this
this summer.
He had just come from the fueling station.
Now I turn it off.

I do. Once I unplug from the power pole my frig switches over to propane. If the generator is turned on it switches over to AC. Propane is always available as I travel.
