I checked my trailer after some recent rains, and discovered that my skylight had leaked into the shower. I checked the top of the skylight today and saw that cracks had formed from several screw holes, traveling up onto the dome. I did a quick clean and caulk of the cracks, but now have to get a new skylight dome. My trailer was built about two years ago. Do these skylights only last that long? They should be more UV resistant. I guess I will keep the new one coated in 303 protectant and hope for the best.

Our 03 Keystone Outback has sat outside most of the time since we got it and has not had a cracked skylight yet.

My 1987 Winnebago's skylight cracked about a year ago when hit by overhanging tree branches. Probably brittle after 20 years.

I have an 08 Keystone that always sits outside and no cracks. I've never heard of one cracking unless it was much older or some of the screws were over-torqued. Perhaps your warranty will cover replacing it. Good luck, Lobo

My 1999 Jayco and my 2000 Jayco have no cracks in the skylights. Now the refrigerator vent cover was cracked on the 2000. I think it was from screws being over tightened. I just fixed that with epoxy.

These responses are encouraging. Maybe mine was bad, or over-touqued down. Hopefully the new one will last longer.

Our skylight in our 03 MH didn't crack, it curled. The edges curled up and away slightly from the roof and opened a hole thro the sealant to create a leak. Replaced it.
