Hi Everyone,

I am in the middle of conducting research for an article and could really use your help.

I am wondering what type of exercise you do when on the road, especially if you're a full time RVer.

Any information would be extremely helpful.

Thank you!

Timothy

I am not a full timer but we travel a lot. We are senior citizens and we walk every morning regardless of where we are. My wife strives for 3 to 5 miles. I am content with a mile or two.

I have found when out camping, in non-resort campgrounds I should add, from hiking and just doing the chores around the campsite, keeping everything working, etc. I loose weight and feel much better. Getting out and sight seeing with walks plus any hikes and just the activity of getting things in and out of the back of the pickup, and keeping water in the tanks and getting rid of grey water for showers is good exercise for me. Walking is our major exercise.

We are not full timers but my wife and I take our two adult bikes virtually everywhere we camp and typically ride 20 to 30 miles each day usually along bike trails.

Hiking, walking and my 'gym in a basket', which includes a couple of velcro leg weights, dumbbells, stretchy physical therapy elastic and a 10" ball. I can keep my body pretty well toned with just that stuff.

We got involved with geocaching. It provides exercise for the brain & body! We love to walk and with looking for caches we get to see places that even locals are probably not aware of. The geocaching gives a nice walk an added purpose.

Not a full-timer and usually hit the gym 3 days a week, so it's walking, hiking, biking, swimming, exploring and just constantly moving for us.
