Does it leave an oil residue? I hate anything that leaves a residue on my windows.

Does it help remove regular road grime?

Here in Tennessee they now use the pre-snow liquids (calium chloride I think) on the highways... does it help get this junk off?

Why is it better than car wash soap and water.

Currently:

I use Blue Coral... I think it has a little wax in it... I just try to keep our TC and C clean.

I also keep every thing waxed... washes easily. And don't take the TC out in snow situations on purpose.

Thanks for the additional information.

It is the equivalent of pouring baking soda on battery acid. It changes the corrosive chemical nature of the salt to prevent rust and breakdown of exposed metals. Glass and waxed, painted surfaces are less of an issue. Salt can cause significant problems with wheels, brakes and undercarriages.
