I just bought a Flojet macerator and am planning on getting a 1" hose. What is the best way to connect it to a 3 or 4 inch sewer dump opening to seal off the odors? Have any of you made an adapter that works using PVC pipe or have any other ideas?

You should have a cap that fits right on your dump connection, with a garden hose fitting. If you don't, you should be able to buy one at any RV store or dealer.
I don't know why you want the 1" hose.......a 3/4" garden hose should be fine, and a lot easier to buy.
The Flojet should have a connection on it that will connect to a garden hose....and the Flojet connects directly on to the tank's dump connection.
You may be overthinking this

Also unless You intend to leave the Hose connected permanently the transfer process is very quick so Odor shouldn't be a problem!

You can buy the parts at Home Depot, mine took 3 PVC, 3 cast iron and a hose connection.
Pap- I think he means to the dump site not at the MH end.

Home Depot/Lowes will have all the fitting you will need. Just cruise thru the plumbing isle with the end of your hose and start matching up the various fittings. You can then find adapters to fit the various sewer dump holes.

Walmart sells a garden hose adaptor that attaches to a standard sewer hose. Just saw it in the rv section today.

Yes, I'm looking for the fitting to the dump station end. I already have everything to connect to the RV. I like the idea of using a 3/4" hose as it takes up less space. I've seen 3 and 4 inch sewer caps but nothing that screws into the opening that can adapt to a hose fitting. I'll check out the plumbing departments. I just thought that maybe someone had already done this.

We use a Sewer Solution to dump the waste tanks. It came with this sewer adapter to connect to either a 3 inch or 4 inch campground waste fitting. I'm pretty sure the Sewer Solution waste hose is 3/4 inch so this part might work for you. Or you could cobble up something similar from parts at Home Depot.
Did you try getting the needed parts from Flojet?

The adaptor at Walmart would work. Most people use one of those 90 degree connectors where one end is on your sewer hose and the other end fits down into the sewer opening. Just attach the Walmart adaptor to the end normally occupied by the sewer hose. Sure is a lot easier than finding pieces and parts at Lowes and rigging something together.
