What are the roads like getting out of Kansas? Can you stay in the campground until after the Holidays to avoid traffic? I am thinking of going to Texas for my off time. Any suggestions?. I have lived in California forever and never driven in snow or ice. I have driven in rain alot. Some winter it will never freeze there. If snow does come before Jan 1 it will melt in around a week. At any rate if you wait a couple days the roads will be clear and they will get better as you go south. We spent about ten years going south right after the holidays and did not have any driving problems. From that point you will not have a problem if your flexible to where if you can wait a couple days the roads will be fine. The average temperature during the day will be in the fifties and at night in the thirties. It possible that your RV can freeze so you need to learn how to manage that aspect of your time in KS. Being from California I think we may try that location next year as it is closer to the grand-kids in California. They pay better in Fernley, but they don't cover your RV parking spot costs. But I think being 30 miles away from Reno is a lot better than Coffeyville You ask a great question and I had been wondering the same thing. We will need to get from Coffeyville back to Branson when we finish up at Amazon and I was told as long as I have a few days to manage the trip I should be able to find a window of opportunity for a decent travel day. Although the Kentucky Facility looks beautiful. Isn't hot in Fernley and how much does it take away having to pay for your space. No grand kids and I really want to get away for Cal for awhile.
