I just swapped out my Atwood 2500 with an Atwood 3500 to get more oomph. Sold the original one to an RVer that had been using a crank.

We have a Barker 3500. Have had it for 4 years. No problems. Plus, Barker's customer service is great.

Another Barker 3500 here. Works great for about 3 years now. Good customer service. I cracked the plastic cover accidently when I first got it. Called CS and they sent me a whole new head gratus. Can't beat that. Don't know about the whole size, but whatever it is, it fit perfectly. About 20 minutes installation. Got mine online at rvingoutpost.com. Quick and easy purchase.

When I went to pick up my new TT last month, it had a Ultra Fab installed. The light switch was already broken. The switch has a cheap look and feel to it.
The dealer was ordering a new one for me to exchange it later. Then the jack quit while I was hitching up to leave the dealer. We replaced the fuse, and it still wouldn't work. We tried the manual crank, at which point I became aware of another major flaw. The crank inserts on the top of the jack head just like the Barkers I have seen. A potential for water damage if left uncovered AND more importantly since my TT had the tall propane tanks,,,,we could only rotate the crank 1/2 turn and then had to remove it to reposition it. I would take a LONG time to use the manual crank with that design. Luckily, the gears were stripped, and I told the dealer that I wanted a different brand of jack. I had a Atwood on my old trailer for 10 trouble free years so I got another one. No need to cover the jack to keep water out as it has a one piece seamless cover over the top, and the manual crank inserts thru the front for unobstructed cranking should that ever be necessary.

I bought a barker 20 years ago and it worked great for years, I finally bought a new Barker and gave the old one to my son, He used it for two or three years and then he gave it to his cousin. They have great customer service and I will buy another one when the next time comes.

I have an Atwood 2500 that is working OK. I installed an Ultra-Fab 3500 and could not lower the tailgate. I put the Atwood back in. The ones with the motor in the front may not let the tailgate come down without hitting it. This was important to me.

I got an UltraFab from a dealer off of Ebay and had problems twice. The factory sent another one out within a day, got it in two days, paid for return shipping of the one I had after I replaced it, and never questioned the problems.

With this type of factory support I never will go with any other brand. Loyalty is worth much due to that customer support.

Mine will lift 3500#, has a light, which I have never used and a removeable foot.

He'll love you more for it.
