There have to be a million videos out there, but my fav has been one called "Slim in 6." Debbie Siebers who leads you through exercises is low key and modestly dressed (helps my husband) and MAN! what a workout you get with modest weights, floor exercises that could EASILY be done in an RV, and bands. It's a graduated program that seeks to "reshape your body in 6 weeks" but I've used it regularly (as well as another set by her that works various parts of the body more intensively) for about six years now. There's enough variety in the tapes I have of her (DVD's actually) that I can keep fit anywhere: on the road in the past when traveling for business, I just put the disc in my computer and used the hotel room floor space. Bands and small weights went into my suitcase. I even took Debbie to Japan! So, I know these workouts will work for RVers. As we go FT in the coming year, Debbie's DVDs are one thing we'll be bringing for sure.

Here's the LINK.

We don't fulltime but we look for a gym wherever we go. When we go to San Antonio (rental property), we go to Gold's and they give us a week at a discounted rate. They have classes, treadmills, aerobics classes as well as a pool.

One good thing about Gold's Gym is that you can get a membership paid for by Medicare if you qualify (Free Memberships available through your Sterling Medicare supplemental plan in cooperation with the Forever Fit program). The San Antonio location at 6 a.m. is all seniors between 65 and 92 (yes, one woman at 87 does aerobics daily and two brothers 91 and 92 lift weights).

Gold's has hundreds of locations also in Mexico. It's a lot of fun and you meet all kinds of people.

Whatever happened to tennis, basketball, volleyball, swimming at parks? Doesn't anyone avail themselves of those opportunities? I can hardly wait to start full-timing and hit the tennis courts and, hopefully, pickleball courts across the country!

Try The Wii Fit video system. It is compact and work great for exercise and workout.

The ONLY exercise some of us get is walking between the couch and the Fridge...

Most of you probably don't agree, but as a new retiree I want to keep in good shape to take advantage of my years, rving and hopefully fulltiming.

An hour a day is less than 5% of a total day that one could dedicate to good health, reducing the use of medications, medical care and reducing insurance rates.

Think of it in terms of economics unless all rvers are rich. I have read many threads about the high cost of health care and most are people with pre-existing conditions, many of which could be eliminated by diet and exercise.

Sure, I like good food and drink, but I don't do it everyday. I workout five days a week, cardio and weights (choose your own style), reduced calorie and low or no fat diet and one day a week I have no limitations. Great for keeping your weight and health in check.

A good book that I have mentioned before is, Body for Life.
