I then untied the strings that hold the awning up in the bag.All of those strings are all dry rotted and just flaked apart. I now have to rool up the awning and hold it with one hand and zip it up with the other. My popup is a 2007 Flagstaff. It seems to new for this to happen. I only camp about 20 days a year. Any ideas how to fix this problem. Use the heavy duty stuff sold at the dealer. I'm thinking of changing over to velcro. I have a heck of a time untying them. Since you don't use the RV often it drys in the bag and rots. Difficult to set up & take down. I find it easier to set up a screen house that is far superior to any awning. Keeps out the bugs, sun & still allows a great breeze.
