That's one of things that has concerned me -water in the tanks settling into the valve areas and then freezing and damaging the valves. This last winterizing, I emptied the tanks completely....nothing more coming out not even dripping. when I pulled it back to the parking place I checked with a bucket and sure enough another gallon from each tank came out. Enough to freeze and damage the valves. What I did was drain this residual water out and then poured additional antifreeze into the tanks.
