It reminds me of the Kenny Rogers song "...and the best you can hope for is to die in your sleep." Sorry that he had to go but what a nice note to go out on. Take care of yourselves, this first little while is so hard, while the brain adjusts. But don't worry, he hasn't gone far.

Because it is so unusual that a beloved furkid is able to take his final walk and then go to sleep in his favorite spot....This to me was Speedy's final gift to you, don't you think?

Speedy made the most "unbearable event" seem so poignant and so peaceful.

I am still in awe of his story. Please take care.

I'm so sorry for the loss of your little old man. Speedy looked like a sweet old guy, and he was lucky to be so loved by you. I have two elderly dogs, and I'm grateful for each bonus years I get with each of them.

So sorry to hear about your loss of Speedy. Glad that he had a good last morning but realize it doesn't help with your pain now. You ave him a good life. Take care.
