Our last trailer had 2 6 volt golf cart batteries and I had a Truecharge 40 amp charger and the Honda 2000 watt genny.
I'm kinda particular about charging them, I had a little digital multi meter velcro'd to the wall with a cigarette lighter end that I had plugged into the socket, whenever the batteries got down half way (12.3 volts) I'd run the genny to charge them and the Truecharge really worked out well

We're in the process of buying a newer trailer and I'd like something better in this one, does anyone know of an inexpensive digital display I could hook up to the "test" switch of the monitor panel? Those little LED's are pretty much useless for telling you the state of your batteries.

Also, anyone know how many amps the charger is in the 2007 Komforts? I know it has a 3 stage power supply but I don't know how many amps the charger puts out. We pick up the new trailer this weekend, I'll be able to research it after that once I know the make and model.
Thanks
Will

For inexpensive, you're not going to be able to beat a digital multimeter. Harbor Freight occasionally sells one for less than three bucks.

If you want a prebuilt digital voltmeter, here's the cheapest I could find at Mouser: http://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Murata-Power-Solutions/DMS-20LCD-1-5-C/?qs=sGAEpiMZZMukgiigmf73gPKHRGaeM7lD (note that it requires a separate 5V supply.)

I bought one off Ebay a while ago for about $20.00 with free shipping. Works nice.

This is what I've always used to test my trojans. Cost was $15.00 from Walmart but they're available lots of places.

there is a quality option i dont remember the exact price but in my craftsman club mailer this month i saw a craftsman digital on sale it was under $30 i think closer to $20... if your going to spend on a digi you mine as well get a good brand.

i have 3 or 4 cheap wally analogs laying around that get the job done but my tasks are a little more simple... just checking if there is power a rough estimate of how much and if there is continuity.

Agree but why not get the alarm verson. Its a no brainer for under $30. Worst case you never hear it alarm and you have done everything right.
