Wondering if anybody is using these and what the benifits are. I see most of the AGM manufactures now make them. Incredible amp hour ratings

How MANY would you need to gang together??? 6 x 2 = 12v is a lot of battery ~~ What is a 2volt battery used for??

I have one customer who has them. The idea is that parallel setups, the batteries never receive an equal charge.

I've read that lots of stick house solar systems use them. No need to parallel any batteries.

So 6 batteries in series for 5-700 amp hours and nothing to parallel? Interesting.

I remember that, needed new cables

typical usage is OFF grid solar powered housing
2v cell's, 6 per 12v battery, 4 batteries for 48v = (1) BANK, used in OFF grid solar systems,

minimum (1)bank per solar install, and usually more banks, house inverter working from 48v to produce 120, lighter gauge wire can be used to connect the inverter & batteries and less voltage drop using a 48v system

Options, always have options, and the journey goes much smoother

Battery banks from 2V cells have been around for a long time -railroads and other large battery industrial apps. They have great potential but cost and space considerations limit the use in RV's.

Hi mapguy,

Let's not forget weight either! But I'd dearly love to have a set of six.

Many people have 4 six volts so 6 two volts is only another ~150 lbs. Getting more interesting. I 'might' have room for 6, will have to check.
