My fun finder 16 foot will sleep 5 in 4 beds. The master is the table which is queen size. The drop down above it then on the road side is a bench bed and over that is a drop down bed. But with 5 folks in a 13 foot box, I hope no one has gas.......We have this rig and its perfect for me and the wife. We spent 16 days in it last year and had a ball, I am n ot sure I would want this with three kids in it. You can buy a 4 or 5 year old one for under 5K. You start going much under that and you are going to have lots of upkeep to keep it running.

Yeah I just discovered those yesterday, they would be perfect, but way too costly for us right now.

oh yeah, thats nice, I hadn't seen one that short yet around here, they must be rare. Thanks
Actually, I may have seen it but discounted it because biggest bed was only a double, I may have to sacrifice though. I just don't understand why no one makes a double queen bunk, right in the front,or back, like Viking and Sunlite did in ther brief run of the fold down tops. I cannot see how that format was any different than putting them in a full hard trailer.

Mine is a 24' TT with a queen bed, two bunks and dinette sleeping. We've camped with 3 adults and two teenagers on several occasions. It also has a decent size bathroom, but without a slide, the middle area is very tight if you have people moving around inside. Also, there is no couch to lounge on.
Overall it's a good balance for what we need. And now our oldest daughter is 18 and doesn't go camping with us any more. Several times it has been only me and my wife, and the trailer is HUGE when there is only two of us!

This floorplan will work. It is the same as mine. The Fleetwood Mallard or Pioneer 18ck models are 22' long (18'box) and can sleep five to six. 2 in the rear bed,1 on the sofa, 1 on the dinnete and 1 on the upper bunk above the rear bed(150 lbs max)You could have 2 sleep on the dinnete also. We have used this setup going on 3 years and with 4 adults and an occasional guest and have made out fine with it. I believe this floor plan is available from other manufacturers and is pretty common.
Don't like the view?? Then change it and Go Camping Our pics

I also think a 16' Funfinder might do the trick. A queen bed/dinette, a bunk above that and two small bunks in the rear. I don't think you will find one that is very inexpensive.
Another suggestions is craigslist and ebay. An old 24' or 26' camper will be much less expensive and likely have plenty of sleeping space. I suggest you always see a camper in person, before you buy or bid.
Good luck!

Our camping friends have a Trail-Lite R-Vision with double pop out queen sides and a convertible bed/table. Works well for them. It has a vinyl pop out, not canvas - but still requires a little more maintenance to prevent mold/mildew. Pretty small foorprint for the sleep space and the tow it with a minivan.
How much are you looking to spend? I just got done purchasing a used unit and around my town they are wayyyyyy overpriced. I scoured the internet and found a 2009 model 2 hours away in a more rural area for the same asking price as a 2005 locally.
