I think "hindes" got it right a few posts back. A pole mounted sliding soap dish.

My wife thinks it is a soap dish too, so since she is always right I will go with that. Thanks to everyone for their help. Good or otherwise.

Now I have to figure out how to put it in.

Ok, I know what it is. We have one that broke off. It is a soap holder that goes in the shower. It slides up and down a rod that is in the shower. We had one in our shower in our 2008 Challenger until my wife bumped into it and broke it off. The slits keep water draining away from the soap bar.

That's almost sounds reasonable. The rim keeps the soap there when traveling and as you said the slot lets water drain out away from the soap and into the tub/shower area and it can be raised/lowered as needed.

So it must be a bathroom/shower thingamajig that fits on the whatchacallit bar in the bathroom.

Do you have some sort of bar in the bath/shower area that it would fit snugly on? Inquiring minds want to know .... especially for us have read all 4 pages of some funny stuff.

Yes I do. The shower head holder rides on a pole so it can be slid up and down. I have not looked at it closely so I am not sure how to disconnect an end to slide the soap tray (assuming that is what it is) onto the pole. May have to wait till spring to give it a look see but when I do, I will try and take more pics for everyone to see. I sure didn't think this would run 7 pages, but it was fun.

Maybe it's just laying around because the original one broke, and the previous owner couldn't figure out how to get the new one on there either.

The previous owner was Carriage, Inc. Maybe they just forgot to install it or the dealer placed it in there but forgot to install it.

Well, I couldn't stand it so we went to the 5th wheel tonight. It looks like it is a soap dish for the shower. I could not see how to get an end of the slide pole disconnected to put it on, plus DW said it would most likely be in the way, and we remember, she is always right. Anyway, who the heck needs soap while taking a shower? I will leave well enough alone; I haven't needed it in the past 3 years so I guess I can get along without it.

Please excuse my ignorance. We have had our 5th wheel for almost 3 years and this thing was in it.

What the heck is it?

Might be part of a CPAP machine where the hose connects?

This link shows somthing similar looking.

Durn, now I know where mine went...It disappeared about 3 1/2 years ago when I was somewhere else,so I don't know where it was when it disappeared.
