The first one is always the hardest and you did a great job. They get easier as you go along. Thanks for sharing.

I visited Yosemite back in June 2005, wasn't impressed, and never planned on going back. Don't know whether it was the crowds, the change in pace from the uncrowded Kings Canyon, or what. However, trip reports like this and others have shown I need to go back during an "off season" to give it a second chance.

Steve,

I haven't camped in Yosemite Valley since they stopped the Firefall. Thanks for the trip back in time... I thought your first trip report and the pictures were VERY good. Only problem is, now we will expect you to have one every time you go someplace...welcome to the clan

Yes sir, now you've gone and done it. We'll be expecting regular trip reports from you now on.

I've never been to Yosemite, and would love to make the trip some day. Thanks for sharing the journey. Your first trip report clearly shows you have a natural inclination for such things. Well done and keep up the good work.

Hey Steve - What a great trip! Your Outfitter sure looks nice... I love Yosemite. Wish I were back "out West". Thanks for sharing.
