I want to wire into the tail and brake lights on my chevy malibu. Does anyone know if i can splice into the wires and plug into the motor home without blowing anything out on the chevy. I don't want to have to unplug the wiring harness on the car each time i tow it.

Thanks so much in advance.

You will need to add your own diodes, without the diodes the power backfeeds into the system and I sure don't think that would be good for the electronics.

You run the wires to the rear, and just before the tail light, you splice in to the brake/turn/ driving bulb wire, using the Y that the diodes comes with. The diodes only allow electicity from the tow vehicle to go from that point to the bulb. And the electricty from the toad won't feed back into the wire harness from the tow vehicle.

Thanks so much for the replies, Can you buy a diode pack with the y or do you have to make your own.
