I was wondering if someone could tell me what ball size the Roo 23SS. Is it 2" or 2 5/16".

More than likely it is 2 5/16" I have yet to see too many TT's (even hybrids) that are under 2 5/16".

What year? My early '06 has a a 2" coupler (tongue weight limited to 800 pounds). Later models, maybe even later '06 models, have 2-5/8" couplers. Coupler size is marked on it.

-- Chuck 2 5/8"? Wow, that's a little overkill isn't it? My 34' 9700# Trail Bay with 1200# of tongue weight only has a 2 5/16"! The ball is rated to 12,000#.

My Roo 233S uses a 2" ball. I know that is correct as I can connect my boat trailer to the truck without changing it out.

I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was going to blame you.
The things that come to those that wait will be the scraggly crappy junk left by those that got there first.

I'm confused
I just purchased a 2-5/16" ball for my EQ WDH and my new 2010 Shamrock 19...
Did I buy the correct size ?
I thought 2" balls where used mostly for utility trailers or something. I could not find info on Forest River's site...
Thanks,
Denis

A 2" ball and coupler is more than capable of handling a Shamrock 19. But what's on there is only determined by looking at it.
I have the impression that Forest River fits 2-5/16" couplers only on trailers exceeding about 5500 pounds.
A call to them at 574.389.4600 will probably get the answer.
