Need a suggestion regarding where to stay in Branson. We have always stayed at the old Headwaters Campground now KOA about 6 miles from town out by the dam for years. At that time we mostly fished with the kids. Also have stayed at the City campground and hated the awning to awning campsites. We are looking for a nice place for a week for two adults no kids or pets. One that is close to town (doesn't have to be walking distance). We plan to take in some shows this time and see all the new stuff Branson has to offer. Easy to get in and out,Cable & Internet, FH.

We made reservations at Branson Stagecoach RV, but realized it was farther out of town then we wanted. It has been about 5 or 6 years since we have been there. I have read some reviews but nothing really helpful.

We looked at the Oak Grove RV Park and Tall Pines Campground. Any suggestions would be appreciated. We have a 33ft Fifth with 3 slides.
Thanks!

I would suggest Ozark Country. It is a little closer to town as it's only about 10 minutes from the strip. It is a sister campground to Stagecoach and offers PA discounts with no restrictions. We stayed there in 2008 and found it very convenient. It has the best laundry and library of any campground we have seen.

ABC is my choice. You may think the sites are smallish, but everything else is top notch. And if you are looking, it cost nothing to compare.

We always liked Table rock lake, right on the river, not far from town.

The KOA campground you stayed at has closed and they moved to a another location very close to the down town and the shows. We stayed there in July and the people running the campground are very nice. ABC is nice too, but farther out from the town.

The new KOA is only about 1/2-3/4 mile off the strip from the corner where the Titanic is located.
Have not stayed there but it is certainly convenient.

I also recommend Ozark Country CG. It's off of 165 not far from the Welk Resort. I was told that Jim and Linda had sold it and now just have the Stagecoach. I don't know if that's true or not.

We like Branson Lakeside RV Park It's a nice park convient to shopping, restaurants, and the shows. It's a city owned park right on the lake and near the downtown area and a new shopping mall. Short hop to the main entertainment/restaurant areas.

Don't miss Shoji Tabuchi and Yakov Smirnov shows. Both are the best! And Tabuchi's restrooms are worth the price of admission!!!!!
