When we camp in Indianapolis, we opt to stay at the State Fair Grounds, full servics. We usually are there in the summer, so I do not know if ther are open this time of year.

I don't know of any campgrounds in that part of the city......You would be best to look in the Lebanon, Anderson, areas to stay on the north side...
There is a year-round campground on the city's south side, just south of I-465 on State road 37 at Edgewood Ave. However, that is a long way from your destination.

I would not suggest the State Fairgrounds. This is in a very high crime rate area in the city. Check out White River Campground in Cicero on the Northeast side.
