in trying to get the most space for our particular TV, looking for some suggestions on a TT for 2 adults, 3 kids, at times 2 additional adults; "user-friendly" for a first timer would be great. Looked at several of the 'ultra-lite' TT and some of them not so light! DH is the mechanical one and would be handling that end as well as driving, initially at least.

It that size range and with that many folks expected to be using it you will probably get the most BANG by looking at a hybrid model trailer with the expandable beds. They're much lighter than hard walled trailers in most cases and tow shorter also. Good luck / skip

Surveyor 294 by Forest river has four bunks, a queen bedroom, U-shaped dinette and jack-knife sofa- easily sleeps 8, can sleep 10. dry weight 4500#, GVWR is 7000#, but that is a LOT of CCC, most of which you will not use. I have one now, and never put more than 500-700 # of "stuff" in it. I am selling mine, only because I moved up to a Super C

Most of the 18/19 foot bunkhouse models have a GVWR around 5900 lbs, but loaded reasonably will weight about 5100. Our Pioneer 180ck is 22'4" hitch to bumper, 4100 dry, 5100 ready to camp. Sleeps 5 comfy (double bed, bunk, dinette, couch) and 7 snugly. We have slept 4 adults and 2 kids in it. Layout is good for it's size, has a tub for giving the babies a bath. Large capacity tanks, ducted heat and ac. We love it. Fleetwood no longer makes TT's, but this foorplan is about the most common small trailer floorplan. Jayco 19bh, Forest River Rockwood 2106, Keystone Hideout 19fb, to name a few.

I just ordered a Lance travel trailer 1880- sleeps seven and it weighs 4100 wet and 3400 dry- 22' long
Lance makes the worlds best quality truck camper and I'm hoping their quality follows over to the trailer.
