BTW, the local Jayco dealer services my Roo. Including the Dometic refrigerator recall.

Just to add more data for you to consider:

We purchased our Roo 19 about a month ago from Terrytown RV (also know as RV World). They are in Grand Rapids, MI and we are near Seattle, WA (2800 miles away).

They gave us a great price, organized delivery (by the nicest guy and his son ever!!) and have just sent us new propane pigtails after we complained about the propane regulator noise. Oh - and we saved $3000 over a more local dealer even with the delivery charge included. I called our local Forest River dealer and, even though they don't handle Roo's, they said they would be happy to help us out if we ever need it.

Bottom line: buying from afar can work!!

Best of luck!!

I never said buying from afar couldnt work, nor did I say rvwholesalers was bad to deal with,in fact I have been dealing w/ Mike Durnell on my deposit issue, and he has been very nice and understanding, and their prices beats everyones(until you add in the delivery charge)im just saying if the local dealer will MATCH the price, well then thats a no brainer to me.

i think that anyone who has bought from RVW either lives near them or was unable to get any local dealers to come close to RVW's prices.

A local dealer is willing to match their price and I think it makes much more sense to buy local, especially when it comes time to have something done to it or warranty work.

do you guys think?Thanks
