I thank you all for your opinions and information. I guess I will pick up a new deep cycle at Wal Mart for $70. They are close by and as stated have a good warranty for the price.. A simular Diehard battery at Kmart was $120.00 and only had a one year warranty, verses Walmarts 2 0r 3 year warranty.

Hi tiogaarrow,

If there is room for two they will give even better service--provided they are wired in a balanced manner. Have a look here:

That is a post worth noting. I never really knew there could be that much difference in wiring multiple batteries. Thanks Piano.

I use method #3 to maintain and condidtion four batteries with a 12 volt charger when they are not in a 48 volt configuration. like the batteries and charger I found the cabling at WM.

I have used two WalMart batteries for over two years with no problem. Just take care of them and keep them charged while in storage. They will do OK.

When we were in WM tonight I looked the DC24 was $60 and DC27 was $70.
