I HAVE A 31 FT MINNE WINNIE AND I AM CURRENTLY TRYING TO FIND WATER LEAKS IN THE OVERHANG COMPARTMENT. On the roof between the main roof and the overhang is a casing covering the joint running the full width of the rv,protruding from the casing are two three inch square and flat pcs. with the words " Weep Hole". Has anyone seen this before ? I am thinking about caulking the opening.

A "weep hole" is mean't for water to "weep" out such as condensation. All the windows should have "weep holes" on the bottom.

I found a leak in the cabover on the passenger side a couple of years ago. It turned out that the water was getting in at the joint between the sidewall and the floor. The trim strip that is supposed to cover and seal this joint only overlapped the sidewall by about 1/16th of an inch and did not achieve a seal. By pushing in on the sidewall, I was able to see a gap. I added the sloppy looking bead of Dicor in the picture below and there has been no sign of water since.

I found that one of my big side windows has weep holes on the top and bottom. It looks as if it is designed to one can use it on either side of an RV. The problem is some weep hole covers popped off on the "upper" holes. The other day it was raining hard and I was parked with the RV tilted just right. A torrent of water was running right ovee a hole at the top of the window and was coming into the RV from the window frame. I have since taped over the upper holes and will be plugging them when it gets warmer out.
