Get all your laughs in now, because I predict soon you will be seeing the little trucks all over the place.

Mahindra Trucks are affordable, tough, power-packed, 100% guaranteed and
deliver 30 MPG highway*.
I have to agree with the Skupper...I don't think too many people will be yukking it up.
I copied the feature list:
Mahindra’s mid-size trucks and SUVs offer a blend of ruggedness, performance
and affordability. They have the largest payload of any compact pickup truck
(2,765 pounds)* and an estimated 5,000 pound towing capacity*.There are Mahindra tractors in the west and I've looked at them. They look, basic, simple, rugged. I'm sure the trucks are similar. That payload is excellent...2800 lbs and the long box...a good feature. There are lot's of people ..ranches and farms who need a rugged smaller truck with a good payload. Not every one buys a truck to pose with...lol All excellent features...traction control...ABS, stability control...to me that's important.
Top it off with a 4-year 60,000 mile bumper-to-bumper warranty and you’ll find
that these babies are even more cost-efficient than the best hybrids and are
brimming with uncompromising features.
30 MPG* • 4-WHEEL ABS BRAKES • UNIQUE SYYLING • EXTRA LONG CARGO
BED • ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL • TRACTION CONTROL • ROLL-
OVER MITIGATION • 6-SPEED AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION • AM/FM/CD/USB
AUDIO SYSTEM
It's a diesel...which is what I would like to see more of...small diesels like they have in Europe and Asia...we in NA need to follow suit.-
It's funny that this story just appeared. I just finished talking to a small construction company boss. The guy had two trucks on the job. An old IH 1600 Loadstar...old grain truck and a Japanese market Suzuki 660cc, 4WD...cab and box....both doing yeoman service.
I'm starting to see quite a few of these small Japanese trucks shipped over here and used as little work trucks in construction, farms and ranches.

Hmmm. With that kind of payload and some good features, I think the small pickup market and all of the current players are about to get a big time wakeup call. If they are successful, you might see these guys branch into other truck areas.

I wish they'd put out a list of dealers so I'd know who to bug and when...

The diesel market is there for sure. It would be interesting to know the China car company they purchased. Locally they are known for their farm tractors that started out very crude but have evolved very nicely over say the last 15+ years.
If they are a good as they sound they will make their sales goal for 2010 USA sales.

I wouldn't laugh... They are basically based off the old Willis Jeep Which they had been building over there since 49, so I'm going to bet that they are pretty reliable. With 4 wheel drive standard a price tag around 20k a diesel and 30 mpg's a 4 year,60k bumper to bumper warranty, yea I think they will sell lot's of those. The big 3,crap even Japan doesn't have anything like that!

That's what I'm laughing about... GM, Ford, Dodge, Yota, Datsun, etc. sitting on their butt, letting Mahindra jump ahead of the line on them.... I hope these trucks have some paint on them, cause the tractors have about the sorriest paint as anything out there.

We used to laugh at Hyundai, now look at them. They're all over the place and getting good ratings.
Maybe they will move into larger diesel trucks that could tow 5th wheels. I will no longer consider GM or Ram diesels as they are government run now. It would be nice to give Ford some competition.
