I have a 1994 Gulfstream Scenic Cruiser 34 foot DP. The switch to select heat or cool in dash unit is stuck in heat selection. I have looked under the dash and the cable goes to the drivers side or the vehicle and I can't trace it any further.
Where does this go and how can I fix the problem.
Thanks Bruce

I can only give you generic information in that it goes to a water valve that directs hot water from the engine to the heating/ventilation box which is typically (in a gas engine) in the engine bay near the passenger footwell. In a DP then I am guessing that they route the water pipes up under the drivers seat where the valve will be in the line - they won't run a control wire back to the rear.

In 95% of cases, it's the cable that is sticking but it's possible that it may be the valve - either way they are cheap to replace IF you can get access to them - that's the big question as some are very easy and others are an absolute pig.
As the cable is a solid wire in a PTFE sleeve, they are not practical to repair and replacement is the only surefire way to get that smooth sliding action back.

You have gotten good advice. About all that you can do is to trace the cable to see where it goes. Very likely it has either bent or become corroded.

There might be someone who had dealt with this problem if you would post what chassis you have.
