This is a spittin' image of an antenna that Winegard made(makes?) for many years. They have been used on TV news trucks on top of 32-54' masts. Performance wise they are not as good as the Batwing, and construction wise they are crap. Inside there is a round foam disk that has an element taped (as in just tape) to it, I think there is one director, it's been awhile.
Anyway, the tape loosens up, the rotator bolt on the disk loosens up, basically after time in the sun with the heat and road vibration it rattles apart. But in the TV biz it's the only thing that really works on top of the mast, so we suck it up and keep replacing or rebuilding them.
For a motorhome I wouldn't touch these.
