Wondering if anyone can provide a bit of advice on fixing the interior cieling on a Lance 861. During a recent wind storm a branch went through the roof and broke into the interior of the camper right above the slideout. I'm guessing fixing the TPF roof is pretty easy, but I'm not sure how to deal with the ceiling panel (about a 2-3 inch area is damaged).
Anyone have any thoughts or advice?\

One option is to simply get an $0.89 cent plastic outlet box cover (Goes on a gang box on the wall where there's nothing that connects) and fasten it over the hole.

duct tape (redneck crome)
just kidding, if none of the stuckture was damaged and i didn't want to have insurance fix it, i'd do like above said. or get some kind of patch that looked reasonable and glue/screw it over the hole. if you wander around home depot/lowe's long enough, you should find something that looks like it belongs there.

I had a crank-up roof vent installed where the hole was.

I know you said you have the outside covered (so to speak ) but here's what Lance did to protect my roof where the SAT dish was starting to rub through my TPO roof:

I'd forgotten it looks like they screwed the plastic piece down first (as opposed to using an epoxy of some sort)

Don't over minimize the roof repair-think Id also cover hole with a alum plate cause Id end up stepping on it, some putty tape underneath (for removal if needed) lots of Dicor on top. Expediency/impending rain just use a self stick rubber patch readily available, you can always go back and redo.
If you had access from inside a weather proof elect box on the roof might be utilized. Course the hole may not be in an optimum location. Room for some creativity here, I was thinking a small boat window-spotlight,camera, periscope..my point since the hole is there you could install something that you might otherwise not cause you wouldn't poke a hole in the ceiling.
As to the interior, other than using the hole, Id also just cover. Impractical on ours at least to repair it, vinal covered paneling. The blank receptacle plate or matching speaker grill are simple good ideas. I'm thinking a battery powered light cause on ours when slide is in the ceiling light is covered. Or a larger or additional 12v fixture that might encompass damaged area.
You said over the slide- the branch didnt hit the slide roof?

Thanks everyone for the great suggestions... some pretty creative suggestions here I thought maybe there was magic patch/tape stuff that would look just like the interior paneling Looks like a simple flat, white plate will be the least noticeable... although, the periscope might come in handy

Agreed... I was thinking filling it w Dicor would be enough, but an Al plate would probably be better.

Yep, thankfully, it stopped short of hitting the top of the slideout.
