Drove 3 diesels actually. I even test drove an Alfa to see how bad it was.

I was suprised, i mean SHOCKED at the difference between a V10 Gasser and the diesel. Our first motorhome ever was purchased earlier this year and we loved it. The one thing that we learned to live with was the noise level, the rough ride and the crosswinds. We had heard that diesels were better but never really understood until yesterday.

I drove a 350 cummins on a spartan ifs with full air ride, etc...
Unbelieveable is all I can say. To be able to carry on a conversation with my DW along with people sitting on the couch has basically been an impossiblity when travelling at freeway speeds especailly over rough sections.

Driving from Jackson MS to Destin took you down hwy 49. Hwy 49 between Jackson and Hattiesburg is a bone jarring experience with each concrete seam not quite level with the one prior. It would really wear you out durning these stretches.

After what I experienced yesterday and today, I can't wait to take these sections on again!

Once you've driven a diesel, you can't go back!

We made the jump from gas to diesel and I love it. It's just a larger smoother quiet running rig. Of course our gas rig was a small fraction of the price for the new pusher. Whatever your running, enjoy it. Go RV'ing.

We were told often by friends; Do NOT drive a diesel until you are ready to sign the papers.

Still good advice today.

There are 24 hours in every day - it all depends on how you choose to use them.

Yes they are nice to drive.

Air ride is the best!

Good Luck,

Fred.

Once we drove a diesel it was not long before we traded in the gasser and never looked back. It is quite true "Never drive a diesel unless you can buy one".

Have fun.
