it is alwsy hard to lose one of our pets, and this month has been the hardest, we adopted four greyhounds nine years ago, and one morning our youngest barked once, we jumped up to see what the problem was and found her lying on the floor bleeding out, oh lord, and right then she died, so chance to say goodby . found out later a tumor broke in her stomach., Four days later our oldest had kidney failure and we had to take her in. so now we are down to two older girls, it sure is lonely now.
I guess we can take heart in knowing at least we could give them homes when they did not have one.. but it does not make it any easier

No, it never is easy. So sorry for your loss! And it should be some comfort, however small for now, that you gave them a chance for a happy life.

So sorry to hear about your recent losses. It must be very difficult to lose two in such a short time. Please accept my condolences.

So sorry to hear about your losses. They are so hard.. Two months ago, we lost our old girl when an undetected tumor attached to her heart burst... it was so hard to see her die but at least we were there. While hard on you, it may have been a blessing that your youngest went very fast. But loosing two so quickly and suddenly leaves such a huge hole in your heart. Hope that time and your other dogs will help you through this difficult time.

Losing a friend is never easy. But as you said, you gave them a home when they didn’t have one and I feel by opening your home, showing them what “LOVE IS” and giving them a chance at life.

Is a terrific gift to give…

Lucky 13, so sorry to hear of your loss. Our greyhound, Xena, has been diagnosed with a tumor attached to her liver. I don't know what is more difficult - losing one quickly or sitting and waiting for it to happen. Either way it is hard. My thoughts and heart are with you.

I am also sorry to read this post. Please except my heartfelt sympathies. Yes you were so kind to give them a new home and loads of love without people like you where would these poor dogs go? and do not think for a moment that they didnt know how much you loved them.
I lost 2 cats in 6 months. The first due to cancer of the intestine at age 13 and the second age 5 to a mass in his abdomen. It sure is hard on the heart to lose 2 of them. So I understand.
Thank you for giving the greyhounds a second chance and remember the other 2 will be needing a little extra love in the next little while. Comfort them as they will comfort you.
