That's the local northern. Sure it goes back to days of earlier settlement.

Like Sudbury was not much of settlement until post World WarII. & because so much snow falls around Barrie, the those who live 'down south' think Sudbury must get a lot more snow than Barrie. But t'ain't so.

& I, I took the road less travelled by.

Excellent, Thank you Sue.

Now, I wonder did they recruit Rick Mercer to build awareness. & I wonder how many US residents don't understand the joke about Danny Williams, though there are more who do understand today than the day before.

Thanks Sue, that is a great one.

Danny Million$ is an interesting politician. For those not familiar with him.

Joe, thanks for that opening re. Danny from one who lived in Newfoundland for 24.5 years.

The reference Rick makes in that video is to the fact that Danny takes his causes to the public, thus, some see him as making noise.

Because of his wealth, Newfoundlanders & Labradorians see him as: "he can't be bought." This counts mega times.

Why I said that there would be more south of the border catching on now than before is that New Brunswick is selling NB Power to the province of Quebec. There is a long standing dispute between NL & QC over the Churchill Falls power transmission. Danny sees the route for future sales of newer Churchill Falls Power development to US users are being more problematic with QC owning all the grid lines. He's been talking in New York about this.
