I would prefer that column be removed. As a lady with poor eye sight I have to enlarge website text. With that column there it forces the text on these forums to overlap making a great deal unreadable.

Hate to say it but I will remove my bookmark here, as really, it is pointless to visit a site I can only partially read.

Dear WebMaster,

If you browse the site on an 8" netbook, or Verizon LG phone, the additonal tips section takes up a significant portion of the page and makes it diffcult to read the thread.

The pagination buttons can be a dozen or mouse clicks below the last entry, and often the blue top page banner bar is now so large that it takes several clicks to get to the 1st entry.

If you made the tips a scrolling entry in the dark blue menu line directly under the RV.NET logo, the you could have clicky links there along with tip text without giving up useful real estate.

FWIW, I'll have to restrict browsing to when I'm at the house with the laptop rather than when I'm camping or travelling.

All of my studies on net usage show that when the perceived overhead of obtaining information exceeds the perceived value of the information, then visit rates drop sharply.

If you take a look at TIVO, the idea was that you'd watch Tv when it was convenient. What happened was that folks would still watch in the same time frame, but would start 20 minutes late and scroll through the commercials.

Perhaps, if affinity needs to show ad revenue form the site, then perhaps a more aggressive ad could be placed on the copius amount of white space on the compose response page.

Thank you.

It does not render properly in Safari - the page is broken up and the quick reply is below the "tips" instead of at the bottom of the post (making it not-so-quick.)

At least use a proper DIV with the option to collapse it. I'm all for advertising, but not intrusive, distracting advertising.

Thank you.

I just think it is very dangerous for a business to do this since some of these "tips" are very shallow and if followed could result in damages that the plantiff could point to this website as to why they did this or that and the liability to whoever approved publishing these accountable and liable and not worth the small plus they might provide.

I will just ignore them and treat them as garbage on my monitor.

Yep, FireFox stops the Tips Ad cold. I did not like it and had to use the Ad block.

If the webmaster screwed up my site this badly he would not be employed very long. It is very difficult to read my screen with the current implementation of the tips column. And the tips I have been able to read are not very helpful, just rehash of already known info. Seems to be half ads and half worthless tips. Some browzers do not work at all with this format and the others that do work display a format that is very difficult to read on small screens. There has to be another solution gentlemen. If this isn't fixed promptly I will have to opt out of this forum. This is unfortunate since this forum seems to be the leader in the recreational vehicle formus. Hopefully some can read this post after I post it because I will have difficultly trying to read it with the current format. Plaeas come up with another solution!!!

... and in most forums when you do get to the bottom of the page there is no "next" link to go to the nexr page so you have to scroll back up to the top to click "next". Seems like bad design, there must be a better way to position those "Tech Tips". JMHO
