We did Disney for 2 weeks at Christmas last year. Yes the lines were long, but certainly weren't 90 min waits for majority of rides & fast passes weren't all gone by 9 a.m. If you keep trying FW in the morning, you may be able to get a day or two at a time.

We loved it & if i could plan it again without telling the DH, as i did last year, i'd do it again in a heartbeat! LOL

keep trying Fort Wilderness. I tried to reserve a site starting 2 monthes ago and it was booked. I kept checking and 3 weeks ago there was a site available.

Someone must have cancelled.

Don't do the online, call them. I have often gotten a site when the on-line showed them as booked. Take any days you can get and then call back every day to extend until you get the days you want.

I have been calling back, and today I spoke with a very helpful operator. In fact I was successful in making a reservation for Christmas week. Alas, it is for next Christmas. But I found out that the reservations deposit is refundable up until five days before the check in date. So it's possible that I may yet snag a canceled spot for this year. Also she said I may happen to get a canceled spot, just by driving up to the gate. Also Tropical Palms premium spots are also full. Well, I'm not giving up and I appreciate all of the advice that has been posted. As it gets closer to Christmas, I feel more cancellations may occur and give me a shot at Disney paradise. Thanks, John
