I used to tow with Cipa mirrors on my Durango but they were trying to tear up the weather stripping on my Expedition. So I'm just using my stock mirrors can't see my tires but I couldn't with the Cipa's either. Durango was about 6in. narrower than the Ford. I can still see anyone passing me as they get closer, never could see behind me even with the mirrors, trailers not transparent.

I use cipa slidons.. I like the extra visibility.
I still listen for horns when switching lanes.

I was asking a fellow camper how he change lanes with the small TV. He smiled real big a said " put down the window, change lane very slowly and listen for horn"...
He better hope he doesn't meet up with the guy that has this bumper sticker.
